Seattle is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Getting around Seattle is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Washington's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

What a beautiful place to visit! I believe they are open 10:00am to 4pm most days. First Thursday of the month it is free to attend! I thought it was really interesting reading about the various plants and where they originated.

I love this place sm!!! Such a beautiful and peaceful place!! Tickets are cheap and I like the thought of my money going to support the lovely gardners here! For anyone visiting: I'd recommend stopping by if your a lover of plants or as a side stop for whatever your main stop is. Trying to visit when the jade vines are in bloom, which is typically through March to May (Look up some pictures of them, they are really cool). Would recommend visiting during a weekday because it's less busy (but honestly I've never seen it packed so there will be plenty of room regardless). They have a gift shop where you can buy local art, jewelry and gifts!

Great stop when we were in Seattle in April. I'm a plant person and this was on the list of cool botanical stops. We all enjoyed it and the park that it resides in was also lovely with a nice play area for kids to run out the giggles.

A beautiful and peaceful escape in Seattle, perfect for a short relaxing visit. The conservatory has three main buildings to explore. The first is an impressive tall dome filled with lush tropical greenery and lots of light. My favorite, though, is the cacti and succulent house β€” warm, unique, and full of fascinating plants. A lovely hidden gem, especially on a rainy day.

The Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle is a Victorian style glasshouse made of more than three thousand panes of glass, modeled after the old Crystal Palace in London. It sits at the north end of Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill and is divided into five distinct plant houses… Palm, Fern, Bromeliad, Cactus & Succulent, and a rotating Seasonal House. Inside, you move from warm tropical palms to misty fern forests, then into a desert room filled with towering cacti, agaves, aloes, and golden barrel clusters. The bromeliad collection includes unusual air plants and epiphytes, while the seasonal house often features orchids and special floral displays. Admission for adults $6, youth and seniors pay $4, and children five and under enter free. The conservatory is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00, with free admission on the first Thursday of each month. The setting is part of what makes it special, right outside are the lily ponds, the Water Tower viewpoint, and the Seattle Asian Art Museum, making the conservatory an easy centerpiece for a relaxed day in the park.
